From October 14, 2018 the new rail franchise KeolisAmey will operate on Wales’ lines. The 34% discount will still be available after the 14th of October, but this may change in the longer-term.

  • The 34% discount only applies to annual tickets
  • Valid on Transport for Wales/Valleys & Cardiff Local Routes

How to buy this ticket:
Once you have enrolled, request a ‘Discounted Annual Season Ticket Scheme’ letter via Advice Zone Online:

To buy your ticket, take this letter, your enrolment card, a passport sized photo and your payment to any staffed station within the Valleys & Cardiff Local Routes.

Tickets are only valid on Transport for Wales/Valleys & Cardiff Local Routes. However, if you buy a Transport for Wales Annual Season Ticket between Cardiff and Bridgend, for example, the ticket may also be valid on First Great Western trains – check with the train companies first.

If you are on a course with long summer holidays, the ticket may not be the cheapest option, even though it is the biggest percentage discount – check with Transport for Wales before you purchase.
