Module and Course Information

If any of your course or module information is incorrect, please notify the University as soon as possible. Changes may take up to two working days to be processed and be visible on UniLife.

The ICIS database can help you gain an in-depth understanding of your course and module content. You can search for Module and Course Specifications and you can also print a PDF of the required specifications.

The search course option allows you to list all modules that are recommended or optional for successful completion for that given course.

The search modules option offers access to the full module descriptors:

  • Learning Outcomes
  • Assessment requirements
  • Concise Indicative Reading List
  • Key Skills delivered by this Module
  • Validation Details

This information can help you decide which books to familiarise yourself with and gain an understanding of what’s required to succeed in the module. It’s also especially useful when preparing a CV or application form, as it is often necessary to make a potential employer aware of the key skills and experiences you have gained through your course and time at university.

My course or module information is incorrect

If you’ve contacted the University but incorrect information is still showing on UniLife, you can access your personal student record directly. This displays the most up-to-date information. (There is a delay of up to 24 hours between updates to your record and the display within UniLife)

It is important that the University has an accurate record of what course you are enrolled on and what modules you are studying. This information is used for a wide variety of purposes, from your access to your Virtual Learning Environment, to your tutor’s emails and through to exam timetables.

It is your responsibility to ensure that the University’s record of your studies is accurate.

Simply agreeing changes with your tutor is not enough. You must confirm the changes with your Advice Zone and ensure that those changes are reflected in Your Account, as this will show that your academic records have been updated.
