If you think you may have a legal problem, there are several ways to seek help.
The University runs a Legal and Financial Advice Clinic in Cardiff. The clinic is free to use, staffed by students, and it works on an appointments-based system – so you have to book an appointment in advance if you’d like to get legal advice there. Appointments can be made for any time between 10.00 and 13.00, Monday to Friday between October and April.
The Citizens Advice Bureau (CAB) is an excellent source of free information and advice in the first instance. The CAB can also provide you with lists of local solicitors, should you need to have more detailed expert help. For further information, visit the Citizens Advice Bureau website.
The Civil Legal Advice offers free and confidential legal advice in England and Wales for people who are eligible for legal aid.
For legal advice which costs money, you can also use the find a legal adviser tool.
