Council Tax Letters
- A Council Tax Exemption Certificate (Council Tax Letter) can help prove to your local council you don’t have to pay Council Tax
- Full-time students can request a Council Tax Exemption Certificate online
- Part-time students should contact their Advice Zone
A Council Tax Exemption Certificate is often referred to as a ‘Council Tax Letter’.
If you are enrolled as a full-time student, you can request a Council Tax exemption certificate online. If you are not a full-time student but still think that you are eligible for Council Tax exemption and therefore require a certificate, please contact the Advice Zone on your campus.
Please note, the letter will not usually be available until the first teaching week of term.
Returning students may be able to view their previous year’s letter until the new letter is available.
